Grand Reve home

The impressive range of residences, from studios to spacious three-bedroom sky-homes and split-level townhouse-style apartments, has drawn interest from first-home buyers, young professionals, families and downsizers.

A once quiet, semi-rural part of Sydney’s Hills District is enjoying an ongoing renaissance to become one of the city’s rising hotspots.
“Castle Hill’s leafy neighbourhoods and green expanses are a big drawcard,” says the developer, Sam Kassis from Kassis Homes.
“For decades, it was an area loved for its large semi-rural block dwellings. Its lush, tree-lined streets have changed significantly recently, and with exciting plans in the works, it is the suburb to watch.” Rising up out of a leafy cul-de-sac, Grand Reve, a curated collection of luxury apartments, is set to become a Castle Hill landmark. Due for completion late 2023, it sits immersed in stunning landscaped gardens influenced by the surrounding ecology.

“The design references the orchards that once grew on this land, as well as the existing vegetation community of the remnant Turpentine Iron Bark Forest that still exists on-site,” says Annabel Spillane from Arcadia Landscaping, who along with her team was tasked with the project.

Interconnected landscaped ‘rooms’ comprising different scales and uses provide a soothing connection with nature.

“The series of spaces can be used throughout the year by taking advantage of the different microclimates created in summer and winter,” she says.

Though the area vibrates with flora, wildlife and birdcalls, Grand Reve is only 45 minutes from Sydney’s buzzing CBD via the new Northwest Metro, providing a small neighbourhood feel with easy access to the city.

The two towers of Grand Reve, one 12 storeys and the other 16, connect through an elevated L-shape podium designed with formal gardens, seating pods and al fresco dining areas.

The interiors by award-winning firm Turner are understated and luxurious, executed in gentle and bold colour schemes, alongside premium engineered wood flooring, tiling and wool blend carpets.

Generous open plan living areas include kitchens with 2.7m high ceilings, high-quality Wolf appliances, Dekton stone benchtops and curvaceous timber veneer joinery that references the building’s architecture.

The larger two and three-bedroom dwellings are installed with iconic Sub-Zero dual refrigeration systems. Each apartment features vast double-glazed glass sliding doors extending the interior dining area to a private curved balcony or terrace courtyard.

However, the top-level dwellings are the jewel in Grand Reve‘s crown.

“Due to demand, we merged some top-floor apartments to create two stunning super-sized penthouses,” says Adam Sparkes, associate director at McGrath Projects.

“Each boasts five balconies that take in breathtaking views of the city, the Parramatta skyline and Castle Hill all the way to the Blue Mountains.”

The penthouses have three bedrooms, a full study, generous open plan living, rumpus, informal living, designated dining space, and see-through fireplaces.

“The scale and significance of these two penthouses has not been seen typically outside of a prime CBD or harbourside location. We will be bringing a new level of luxury to the Hills area,” says Sparkes.

Owners will access concierge services, who can take deliveries, allow contractors access and maintain common areas in the building.

“It makes living at Grand Reve as much a ‘lock-up-and-leave’ as it does a luxurious primary residence,” says Kassis.
